ACE had me a little worried with his chocolate chip bread though... and for his first time baking, he definitely gave me a run for my money.

For a taste of the winning recipe try these!  Warning:  They make a TON.  I ended up freezing about half the dough for later, and they taste just as good, if not better.

karen's favorite chocolate chip

cookie recipe 

1 1/3 C Shortening

1 1/3 C Butter

2 C White Sugar

2 C brown Sugar

4 eggs

2 tsp vanilla

6 C Flour

2 tsp soda

2 tsp salt

1 pkg chocolate chips

bake at 375 for 9-10 minutes
